High-performance work unit in AOP Duché d’Uzès
Located on the outskirts of Uzès, the first Duchy of France since 1632, this property is situated at the very heart of the Duché d’Uzès appellation: On a clay-limestone terroir, the 24.8 hectare estate cultivates approximately 23 hectares of vines.
Certified organic by Ecocert since 2012, the entire vineyard is farmed organically.
The winery is modern, spacious and very functional. It has been built partially underground and allows the harvested grapes to be received using gravity.
With its stainless steel, lined concrete and fibreglass vats, the winery has a capacity of around 2,200hl. Perfectly sized for the 23ha of vines in production today, the winery is well equipped with a pneumatic press, a destemmer, temperature control, etc.
Built near the winery in 2011, a second building houses the wine shop, exhibition hall/functions area and the warehouse for packaged wines.
The 23ha vineyard is arranged over 5 main blocks, which are spread out in a radius around the village. The vines are in the AOP Duché d’Uzès and IGP zone, and are very well maintained, with most of them trellised.
The estate has a very wide range of 15 grape varieties, 6 white and 9 red, representing respectively 30% and 70% of the surface area.
