Here are some examples of estates for sale&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-author--img\" src=\"https:\/\/keyassets.timeincuk.net\/inspirewp\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2016\/02\/Chris-Mercer-Square-135x135.jpg\" alt=\"Chris Mercer\" width=\"145\" height=\"145\" \/><\/div>\n<div><small class=\"post-author-info\"><span class=\"author vcard\">Chris Mercer <\/span><time datetime=\"2020-09-04T12:43:16+01:00\">September 4, 2020<\/time><\/small><\/div>\n<div><!--more-->Provence has certainly seen high-profile deals at the top end of the market in recent years, from the arrival of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and the Perrin family at Ch\u00e2teau Miraval to estate purchases by LVMH and the owners of Chanel.French land agency Safer said the number of vineyard transactions in the combined Provence and the Rh\u00f4ne Valley area rose by 7.6% in 2019, to 1,540, but the total value of deals jumped by nearly 55% versus 2018, to \u20ac226m.Most recently, the Prats family, who formerly owned Ch\u00e2teau Cos d\u2019Estournel in Bordeaux, joined with French businessman St\u00e9phane Courbit to buy <strong><a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wine-news\/prats-family-join-acquisition-of-chateau-destoublon-in-provence-441783\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Estoublon in Les Baux de Provence appellation<\/a><\/strong> south of Avignon.<\/p>\n<p>Adam Dakin, of estate agency Wine Objectives, told <span class=\"skimlinks-unlinked\">Decanter.com<\/span> earlier this summer that \u2018Provence has been absolutely booming\u2019 of late, as buyers have sought a piece of this burgeoning hub of ros\u00e9 wines.<\/p>\n<p>Dakin said that land towards the coast tends to be more expensive, but you can still pick up vineyards for around \u20ac70,000 per hectare in the upper parts of the Var, for instance.<\/p>\n<p>There is quite a large area to consider, and it\u2019s worth doing your research in advance.
