{"id":5839,"date":"2022-09-20T13:56:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T13:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wineobjectives.com\/vs-news-edition-speciale-20-septembre-2022\/"},"modified":"2024-02-16T10:52:24","modified_gmt":"2024-02-16T10:52:24","slug":"vs-news-special-edition-20-september-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wineobjectives.com\/en\/uncategorized\/vs-news-special-edition-20-september-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"V&#038;S News &#8211; Special edition &#8211; 20 september 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Ch\u00e2teau Maucoil changes hands<\/h2>\n<p>Ch\u00e2teau Maucoil, in Orange, is now owned by winegrower Bernard Duseigneur (Domaine Duseigneur in Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape) and Burgundian entrepreneur Jean-Philippe Girard, founder of the food company Eurogerm, specialising in ingredients and auxiliaries for bread-making, which he has handed over.&nbsp;He is the current owner of the Domaine Chantal Lescure in Nuit Saint Georges and chairs the attracting agency Dijon Bourgogne Invest.<\/p>\n<h2>The estate was sold by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric and Beno\u00eet Lavau, and their partners, Charles Bonnet and B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte Arnaud.<\/h2>\n<p>Ch\u00e2teau Maucoil comprises 43 hectares of organically grown vines, 26 of which are in the Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape appellation,\u201d Bernard Duseigneur, who will be in charge of production, told V&amp;S News. \u201cOur ambition is to go biodynamic.<\/p>\n<p>Its exceptional terroir makes it one of the historical jewels of the appellation. In its edition of 5 May 2022, V&amp;S news already announced this sale, the last stage of which has just been completed, accompanied by the firm Wine Objectives.<\/p>\n<p>After a complete renovation of the buildings and with an investment of several million euros, the new owners wish to develop a wine tourism activity. \u201cThe aim is to create a reception area with around thirty rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Wine-related activities-tastings, more advanced initiations, etc. will be offered,\u201d says Bernard Duseigneur.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of timetable, we would like everything to be operational for the 2025 season.
