With a surface area of 71 000ha, the vineyard of the Southern Côtes du Rhône covers both banks of the Rhône river from Montélimar to Avignon and covers the following “départements”: Drôme, Ardèche, Vaucluse and Gard.

39 appellations constitute the southern Rhône vineyard, for a total production of nearly 3 000 000 hectolitres per year. AOP Châteauneuf du Pape remains the leader in the Rhône valley, both in terms of image and in terms of land value. Land is currently trading at close to 500 000 euros/ha in the most sought after areas of the appellation.
